ANAND N. DABLI
Anand N. Dabli born in 1979, Nagpur is a distinguished contemporary Indian artist based in Nagpur. His early inclination toward art led him to formal training at the Nagpur School of Art, where he earned a Government Diploma in Fine Arts, building a strong foundation in both traditional and modern artistic practices.
Anand’s sustained commitment to his practice has brought him significant recognition. He was awarded the Lalit Kala Akademi Award at the 62nd National Exhibition of Art, New Delhi (2022), marking an important milestone in his career. Earlier, he received a Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India (2015–16), acknowledging his contribution to the evolving discourse of contemporary Indian art.
His exhibition history includes solo presentations at notable venues such as Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, along with participation in numerous group exhibitions across major cultural centres including Mumbai, Delhi, and Dubai. Through these platforms, Anand has established a strong national and international presence, engaging audiences with works that are expressive, layered, and introspective.
Currently working as a freelance artist, Anand continues to create from Nagpur. His artworks are held in important public and private collections in India and abroad. Through a sensitive exploration of human experience, nature, and emotion, his practice positions him as a compelling visual storyteller within the contemporary art landscape.
