AKSHITA LAD
Akshita Lad is an award-winning contemporary artist, born in Mumbai and currently based in Dubai. She has been honoured with the prestigious UAE Golden Visa by the Ministry of Arts and Culture in recognition of her contributions to the art world. Her passion for painting began in childhood, inspired by masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Monet, Michelangelo, and Rembrandt.
After completing a degree in Business and Finance from Boston University and working in real estate development, Akshita returned to her true calling—art. She refined her artistic practice at the Florence Design Academy and the Lotus Educational Institute, Dubai, developing a distinctive style that bridges classical techniques with a contemporary sensibility. Her work spans portraiture, landscapes, and abstract expressionism, marked by vibrant colours, rich textures, and themes of inclusion, joy, and positivity.
Her international recognition includes the Artistic Luminary Award (Dubai, 2024), the Botticelli International Prize (Italy, 2024), and the Contemporary Art Collectors Global Consciousness Prize (2023). She is also set to receive the Masterful Mind Award from the Circle Foundation for the Arts in October 2024.
Akshita Lad’s works have been exhibited at major global platforms such as Art Expo New York, Red Dot Miami Art Basel, World Art Dubai, and the Women in Art Fair, London, with upcoming exhibitions planned across Italy, Qatar, London, Austria, and Mumbai. Alongside her artistic practice, she actively advocates for girls’ education, nature conservation, and the transformative power of feminine energy—values that strongly resonate throughout her work.
