SANJAY KUMAR Srivastav
Sanjay Kumar Srivastav was born on October 2, 1961, and is an acclaimed Indian visual artist whose artistic journey began early, guided and encouraged by his father. He holds an M.A. in Fine Arts from Agra University and a Diploma in Fine Arts from Allahabad University. Over a career spanning more than four decades, Srivastav has developed a distinctive visual language marked by strong narrative elements, emotional intensity, rich colour palettes, and intricate detailing.
His solo exhibitions have been presented at some of India’s most prestigious venues, including multiple shows at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, and Shreedharani Art Gallery, New Delhi, as well as prominent spaces such as Leela Kempinski Hotel, Museum Art Gallery, Mumbai, Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi (2023), and the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata (2024). Internationally, he has exhibited in London, New York, Germany, Singapore, and beyond, and has been part of significant curated exhibitions such as the Harmony Show by Tina Ambani and the RPG Group’s Art for God’s Sake at the National Museum, Germany.
Srivastav’s works form part of the private collections of leading Indian industrialists, designers, and film personalities, and have been sold through major galleries and auction houses including Art & Soul, The Art Trust, Art Musings, Asta Guru, and Saffronart. Actively engaged with the global art community, he has participated in and curated numerous art camps across India, Europe, Asia, and Africa. With his sustained creative rigor and expansive body of work, Sanjay Kumar Srivastav continues to hold a significant position in the contemporary Indian art landscape.
